The Hidden Gardens is the premium wedding ceremony area. It may be booked by bride and grooms having their wedding reception in the House or the Marquee wedding reception rooms, or those wishing to only have their wedding ceremony at Caversham House.
The 1800 renaissance style gardens are absolutely stunning. The three terraces are linked by 4 limestone staircases which leads to the manicured lawned area. The middle and bottom terraces are adorned by hand carved full size female statues, carved from Donnybrook sandstone, each representing a season.
The sandstone balustrade frame the garden beds which consist of 300 metres of formal hedges, roses, Thujas, Manchurian pear trees, star jasmine and blocks of bright seasonal colour.
Transcending the three terraces is our magnificent 4 storey waterfall with a 16 metre curtain of water cascading to the lower lawned area. You can walk under the waterfall, along the 60 metre jarrah walkway leading to our private, 21 metre floating pontoon.
Only one wedding ceremony at a time is held in the Hidden Gardens. The wedding ceremony may be held in front of the Swan River, on the Grand Staircase, or in front of the waterfall.
For the wedding ceremony, a cherry red carpet is placed flowing down the Grand Staircase and another on the lawn leading to the wedding ceremony area. White chairs are placed either side of the carpet and a 6x6m marquee is provided for shade for the bridal party or the wedding guests.
The clothed signing table and two chairs are placed on the lawned area for the main part of the wedding ceremony. The Hidden Gardens is only exclusive to the bridal party until the wedding ceremony is completed. After the wedding ceremony, bridal party(ies) only from the House or Marquee reception may also use the Hidden Gardens for wedding photographs.
